Prologue
The convicts work hard with their tools, certain they will never
leave the prison. |

Having been released from prison,
Valjean tries to find work with a farmer and a labourer. |

What Have I Done?
After being helped by the Bishop of Digne, who gave him his blessing,
Valjean tears up his yellow ticket of leave and decides to start a new
life. |

At The End Of
The Day
Several years later Valjean has become a Mayor and runs a successful
factory. The factory workers still aren't too happy though!

I Dreamed A Dream
Fantine reflects on her life after losing her job at the factory when
they found out about her daughter. |

Lovely Ladies
In desperation Fantine goes to the Red Light District in an attempt
to earn some money, so that she can continue to support her daughter
Cosette. |

Fantine's Arrest
Valjean comes to Fantine's rescue when she is arrested by Javert for
attacking Bamatabois. |

The lovely ladies look on as Javert deals with Fantine and Valjean.
At this stage Javert does not realise who Valjean, 'the Mayor', really
is. |

The Runaway Cart
A cart comes crashing along the street and a man is trapped beneath
it...

Cart
Despite warnings, Valjean successfully lifts the cart and
Fauchelevant is rescued. It is this act of strength that makes Javert
notice 'the Mayor'. |

The Confrontation
At Fantine's death bed Valjean vows to care for her daughter. Having
learned 'the Mayor's' true identity, Javert comes to arrest Valjean but
he escapes. |

Cloud
Fantine's daughter is in the care of the Thenardiers. While cleaning
and scrubbing the floors in their inn, little Cosette dreams of a better
life. |

Madame Thenardier and her beloved daughter Eponine come and tell
Cosette to go and fetch some water from the well in the woods. |

The Bargain
Valjean arrives at the Inn and seeing that he is well-off the
Thenardiers take the opportunity to butter him up. Valjean sees right
through them. |

The Waltz of Treachery
After pretending that they couldn't possibly bear to part with little
Cosette, the Thenardiers finally agree to let Valjean take her away, for
a price of course. |

Stars
Javert reflects on his belief in the law and vows to catch up with
Valjean, no matter what it takes. |

Red And Black
A group of students meet in the ABC Cafe to discuss their plans for
revolution. |

Do You Hear
The People Sing?
Led by Enjolras, the students and citizens look to a brighter future
after victory in the revolution. |

A Heart Full Of Love
A student, Marius, meets the now grown-up Cosette and they profess
their love for one another. |

One Day More
There is excitement in the streets as the revolutionaries prepare for
the uprising. |
