ANN-MAREE AHERNE
Ann-Maree was born and raised in Hobart, but has also travelled extensively throughout Australia and overseas.  In 1997 Ann-Maree joined the Lincoln Singers. She began vocal training in 1999.  She also studies dance.

MICHAEL ARISTON - CHAIN GANG
After moving from Canberra to Hobart in 1996, Michael wrote and self-published his first collection of poetry, Junkyard Bloom, in 1997. He is currently working on two new books, and occasionally performs his work.

MICHAEL BARROW
Michael currently attends Guilford Young College. Michael studied dance at Vickie's Dance Studio for eight years, as well as performing in concerts and eisteddfods. Michael has played Daddy Warbucks in Annie, and Baloo in The Jungle Book.

AMANDA BERRY
Amanda attends St Michael's Collegiate College and has competed in a number of dance eisteddfods. Amanda currently attends Jenina's Dance Workshop, and studies voice with Ian Williams. Amanda's last production was Hobart Rep's 1999 Christmas pantomime, Cinderella.

SETH BINNS
During his studies at St Patrick's College Seth was involved with a number of productions including The Wizard of Oz, Barnum, and Fiddler on the Roof. He was a member of the Launceston Philharmonic Choir and performed in the Messiah. Seth plays the guitar, mandolin, mandola, mandocello and bass.

LIZA BLOM
Liza was a member of the Rosny Children's Choir for four years, but has more recently been involved with Dancesport and has competed at a national level at the Australian Dancesport Championships in Victoria.

KATIE BOON
Katie is a student at Guilford Young College. Katie has been dancing at the Southern Theatrical Dance Centre for the past eight years, and studies voice with Nadine Frick. Katie's theatre credits include two Hobart Rep pantomimes, Cinderella and The Pied Piper.

KAT BRIGGS
With over ten years experience Kat currently dances at Southern Theatrical Dance Centre. She has also been involved in various theatre productions, including Huon Valley Theatre's Wizard of Oz, and three Christmas pantomimes for Hobart Rep.

JOSEPHINE BUTCHER
After spending time travelling the world, Josephine makes her theatrical debut with this production. She has had experience with a number of choirs, including Sisongke.

MEAGAN CARMICHAEL
Meagan attends Ogilvie High School. Dancing since age four, Meagan currently attends Jenina's Dance Workshop, and has danced competitively for the past seven years. Eisteddfod credits include the roles of John in Peter Pan, Ashley in Starlight Express and Skimbleshanks in Cats.

LISA COHEN
Currently attending Jenina's Dance Workshop, Lisa has been dancing since age nine, and has competed successfully in both Hobart and Launceston eisteddfods. She has also appeared in Carols by Candlelight, as well as various fashion parades and movie previews.

ANNE COLBOURN - FACTORY WORKER / OLD CRONE / THENARDIER'S INN DRINKER
Anne is currently studying at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music. Her credits include the Ayah in The Secret Garden, Me and My Girl, Pirates of Penzance, 42nd Street and Chess. Anne was the Choral Director for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

ROMY COLE-COOK
During her studies at Mt Carmel College, Romy was a member of both the choir and madrigal groups. Romy's theatrical credits include Susan in Finian's Rainbow, a flowergirl in My Fair Lady and Sarah in Seven Brides For Seven Brothers.

AIMEE CRAWFORD - FACTORY GIRL / THENARDIER'S INN DRINKER
Aimee has twice attended the Deloraine Drama Festival, and was awarded Runner-Up Best Actress. Whilst attending Claremont College, Aimee starred as Vunga in the musical spoof Man of Steel and was recently seen in G&S Society's Oliver!.  Aimee currently studies voice with Ian Williams.

HELEN CRONIN - WHORE
Helen's acting experience spans over thirty years, and she has also directed two pantomimes for Hobart Rep. Her theatre credits include playing a German spy in Bullshot Crummond, uni revues, pantomimes and various plays. Helen has also been involved in choirs and music hall.

MELISSA DAVEY
Melissa has been dancing for sixteen years, and currently dances with Jenina's Dance Workshop. She has performed in music, drama and dancing eisteddfods around the State and her theatre credits include the uni revues Guilt-Edged and Golden Nickers.

JESSICA DEAN
Jessica has been dancing for over thirteen years with Southern Theatrical Dance Centre and has appeared in many pantomimes for Hobart Rep. She is currently studying dance and drama at Rosny College, and is hoping to further her dance career in the future.

LYNETTE DEAN - FACTORY WORKER
Lynette has been involved in theatre as an actor, writer and director. She has appeared in Hobart Rep's Guys and Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof, Dinkum Assorted, and as Sheila in Aussie Rules the Musical. She has written and directed one-act plays, and is working on the pantomime Sleeping Beauty for Hobart Rep.

MATT DEWEY
Matthew's musical credits include Treasure Island and the role of the High Priest Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar, both for New Town High School. Matthew is also a member of the IHOS Opera performance class and plays trumpet in various bands.

ANTONIA DUNNE
Antonia's last stage performance was as Toad in Toad of Toad Hall. She participates in community choirs such as Sisongke.

MARY ECKHARDT - CART CRASH WITNESS
Growing up, Mary's musical influences included Irish and country music, as well as Harry Belafonte. She sang in a variety of choirs, and performed in musical and drama eisteddfods. Recently Mary has become an avid Morris Dancer with the Jolly Hatters Morris Side, as well as playing and singing folk, spiritual and celtic music.

JON ELDER - CHAIN GANG / THENARDIER'S INN DRINKER
Jon has worked backstage for a number of theatre productions. In particular he has been involved with the uni revue for more than seven years. Jon switched his talents to performing by appearing in the uni revues Bored of the Rings and The Full Mintie.

NICHOLAS GRANEY - UNDERSTUDY GAVROCHE
A member of the Rosny Children's Choir for seven years, Nicholas has performed in several eisteddfods and was chosen to sing in the national choir Gondwana Voices. His theatrical performances include the role of Oliver in this year's G&S Society production. Nicholas studies voice with Robin Short and Rosemary Amos.

ANGELA GREEN
Angela has been studying dance since the age of three. She currently attends Jenina's Dance Workshop, and studies a variety of dance styles. Angela has been studying voice for over four years with Deborah Witt, and currently receives tuition at Ian Williams Vocal Studio.

LISA GRINDLE
Lisa has been a singer/songwriter for over ten years and has performed in various bands. She also writes short stories, and her current work in progress is a musical. Lisa presently works with a local band, 4/4 Troubadour.

ANGIE HAYES
Angie has performed in many dancing concerts and eisteddfods. Angie is in her final year of pre-tertiary education at Hobart College, and wishes to pursue a career in the performing arts.

BELINDA HOLLOWAY - WHORE
Belinda has appeared in productions such as The King and I, Oliver! and three uni revues, the most recent being Golden Nickers. Belinda has also sung in a variety of choirs, in the styles of classical, modern and jazz. However, her favourite form of theatre is when singing, dancing and acting 'happen together'.

KERRI-LOUISE HOOPER - MADELEINE
Kerri-Louise has been dancing for eleven years, and studies with Jenina Evans at Jenina's Dance Workshop. She studies drama at Collegiate, and has been a member of the Ogilvie Concert Choir for four years. Her theatre roles include Consuela in Hobart Rep's West Side Story, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors.

EDWARD HOWARD Most recently, Edward appeared in the chorus of the G&S Society's Oliver!, and as Diesel in Hobart Rep's West Side Story. He has also appeared as John the Baptist and Judas in Guilford Young College's production of Godspell. Edward was a member of the Rosny Children's Choir for five years.

ALICIA JACKMAN
Alicia has been dancing since the age of six, and been studying at Jenina's Dance Workshop since it first opened ten years ago. During this time, she has performed in both Launceston and Hobart dance eisteddfods, and has also danced at the Young Achiever Awards and Sports Awards.

EMILY JACKMAN - YOUNG EPONINE
Emily started training at age five and currently attends Jenina's Dance Workshop. She has also performed in the ABC Giving Tree Choir, and at events such as the Christmas Pageant, and Hobart and Launceston eisteddfods. Emily also appeared onstage in the G&S Society's Oliver!.

REBECCA JAMES
Rebecca has been dancing for twelve years, and is currently studying at Jenina's Dance Workshop. During this time, she has danced at both the Launceston and Hobart eisteddfods, as well as a variety of local functions. Rebecca presently works as a customer service manager at Kerry Pinnacle.

DEBRA JENSEN
Debra graduated from the Conservatorium of Music with a Diploma of Music and was involved in productions of The Mikado, Dido and Aeneas, Cavalleria Rusticana, Soeur Angelica and The Golden Crane. In 1999, Debra played Graziella in West Side Story. She also teaches piano at her own studio.

JANE JOHNSON
Jane has been dancing with Jenina's Dance Workshop for the past five years. She has been a member of the Rosny Children's Choir. Her musical theatre credits include Annie.

AINSLEE KEELE - THENARDIER'S INN DRINKER
Ainslee is currently a Fine Arts student at the University of Tasmania. Ainslee has sung at a number of different venues around Hobart, including the Italian Club and performance cafes. She is currently involved in the IHOS Opera Company.

CHRISTINE KEELE
Christine has been involved in theatre for many years, and has appeared in productions ranging from the operetta Hansel and Gretel, to the musical Carousel and a number of other musicals and dramas. Christine was last seen in the Old Nick Company's production of The Visit.

MARG KIBBEY - CART CRASH WITNESS
A lover of music, Marg's occupation sees her teaching its wonders to primary school children. Her involvement in theatre has mostly been on the other side of the stage, preparing children for eisteddfods, school concerts and musicals. Marg has also been involved in Sisongke Community Choir for over four years.

LAURA KIDDLE - WHORE
Laura has studied at Jenina's Dance Workshop and was a student at the National Theatre and Dance World 301 in Victoria earlier last year. Her dancing experience includes 42nd Street, the 1998 Rep Pantomime and the Devilettes. Laura currently studies voice with Sharon Prero.

BRON LAWRENCE - CART CRASH WITNESS
Bron has been involved in musical theatre for many years, with a string of productions to her credit. These include Annie, Hello Dolly!, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot, Pirates of Penzance, Trial By Jury, Les Miserables and Me and My Girl. Bron has also performed in many concerts for various musical companies.

NICOLE McKENZIE
Nicole has been dancing for eleven years, and currently dances with Jenina's Dance Workshop. Her training also includes tuition at Dance World 301, The Dance Factory and Bartuccio. Her professional credits include television appearances at awards ceremonies. Theatre credits include 42nd Street.

REBECCA MARCH
Describing herself as a "typical creative type", Rebecca's primary love is singing, but she appreciates many other art forms. She hopes that this production will lead to more involvement in acting and dancing.

NATALIE MAROKI - TURNING
Before moving to Hobart, Natalie was involved with the Burnie Musical Society since the age of ten. Natalie's past involvement in theatre includes Trial By Jury, Oliver!, and Elizabeth College's production of Return to the Forbidden Planet. Natalie studies voice with Helena Bury.

ZOE MARTIN
Zoe studies dance with Jenina's Dance Workshop and recently appeared in Hobart Rep's Cinderella and Summer Stock's Big River. After Les Miserables, Zoe will be appearing as Ronette in Pierrot Productions' Little Shop of Horrors in January next year.

JENNIFER MONK - CART CRASH WITNESS / TURNING
In 1997 Jennifer travelled overseas with the Ogilvie Choir, and was later involved with the Rosny College productions of The Venetian Twins and Beggars Opera. Other theatre credits include G&S Society's Ruddigore and HMS Pinafore. Jennifer is a member of the Tasmanian Naval Band and studies voice with Helen Todd.

SARAH MORRISON
Sarah has been dancing since she was three years old and currently studies with Jenina's Dance Workshop. She has participated in many eisteddfods, and has also been involved in school productions. More recently, Sarah was seen in the 1999 Christmas pantomime Cinderella for Hobart Rep.

ADELA MORTON - OLD BEGGAR WOMAN
Adela's keen interest in both music and theatre dates back many years. She has won eisteddfods, played in Lindisfarne parish revues and sung with the Lincoln Singers. Last year, Adela played the role of Anne Donne in All That I Am, and this year was involved in Trial By Jury and Oliver!.

CLAIR MURROWOOD - TURNING
Clair has always been a lover of singing and acting. She has performed in Me and My Girl, and has played a bridesmaid in two seasons of Trial By Jury. Clair played Hope Harcourt in Guilford Young's production of Anything Goes, and also appeared in Salamanca Youth Theatre's production of Unleashed.

AMANDA MUSKETT
Whilst always interested in music and theatre, Amanda has achieved her theatre credits to date in the past five years. During this time, Amanda has played a pawn in Chess, Homely in Pirates of Penzance, sung in the pit for 42nd Street, and now plays a beggar in Les Miserables.

KYLIE PAGE
Kylie has been studying classical ballet, jazz, tap and highland dancing since the age of four. She has competed in dance eisteddfods, and represented her school in drama, choir and in musicals. Other performances have included half time entertainment at the NFL gridiron finals and a cheer-girl at interstate basketball games.

CHRIS PAINE
Chris has performed both on stage and behind the scenes in the last three Christmas pantomimes for Hobart Rep. His other onstage credits include this year's Elizabeth College production of Return to the Forbidden Planet, and also the G&S Society's production of Oliver!.

RACHEL PENWRIGHT
Rachel currently studies dance with Jenina's Dance Workshop, and has been dancing for a total of thirteen years. She has studied a varied range of styles and describes being on the stage as her greatest love.

ANGELIQUE PHILLIPS
Angelique has been singing and dancing for over ten years at Rhythmic Dance Centre. Currently in year Eleven at St Mary's College, Angelique hopes to teach dance and continue to perform in theatre in the future.

KY PHILLIPS
Ky has been singing and dancing at the Rhythmic Dance Centre for the past eight years. His ambition is to teach dance as a career, and to continue performing in local Hobart theatre. Ky is in grade Eight at St Virgil's College.

ADAM PURTON - FACTORY WORKER / THENARDIER'S INN DRINKER
Adam has appeared as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar for New Town High School, and as Tempest in Elizabeth College's Return to the Forbidden Planet. Other stage performances include Big River and the 1999 Christmas pantomime for Hobart Rep. Adam is currently performing with IHOS Opera.

BIANCA PURSELL
Bianca has been studying dance at Jenina's Dance Workshop for eight years and also teaches dance at Jenina's Dance Workshop to young students. Other performances include dance eisteddfods, rock eisteddfods, fashion parades, sports awards, the Devilettes and Spice Girls in the Mall for Hobart City Heart.

JENNI PYEFINCH - THENARDIER'S INN DRINKER
Jenni became involved in theatre at age ten, and was in her first play by the time she was eleven. She was actively involved in numerous productions until beginning a career as a nurse. Jenni has also been singing for fifteen years, and co-directs Hobart Harmony, a women's barbershop chorus.

JULIE RAPHAEL - INNKEEPER'S WIFE
Julie has done a multitude of backstage work for Hobart Rep and Old Nick, comprising set building, props, set designing, stage managing, lighting and costumes. Returning from the wings, Julie is thrilled to be performing once again on stage.

LARAINNE ROBERTSON - FACTORY WORKER
Larainne last graced the stage as Sandy in Grease and Cell Block Tango June in Chicago with Forum Music Theatre. Whilst in Melbourne, she also appeared in Cabaret, as well as choreographing and assistant directing Little Shop of Horrors for the Spellbound Theatre Company.

MARYANNE ROWBOTTOM
Maryanne currently dances at Jenina's Dance Workshop. She is a year Twelve student at Guilford Young College, and is the middle child of three siblings. In her spare time, Maryanne enjoys dancing, netball, and spending time with family and friends.

MAVIS SAYER - CART CRASH WITNESS
Mavis appeared on stage in HMS Pinafore and Trial By Jury and has been involved in other G&S Society productions. Mavis sings with many choir groups including Sisongke, Hobart Harmony Chorus, the Lincoln Singers and Carols By Candlelight Choir.

MALCOLM SHORT
Malcolm first appeared on stage at the age of eight in Pippin and was a member of the Rosny Children's Choir for five years. Malcolm's theatrical exploits include school and university productions, Trial By Jury and the role of Freddy in My Fair Lady. Malcolm is also an accomplished pianist.

KEVIN STARK - PIMP
A tenor in his youth, Kevin now considers himself a fully fledged bass. Always a lover of music, he was involved in many productions in his earlier years, including gang shows, and choirs. During his adult life, Kevin reactivated his vocal chords, singing with Sisongke Community Choir.

PENELOPE STOLP
Penelope started singing in 1999 with the Tasmania University Musical Society. During this time, she has performed in two major concerts, one for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and the other for the Australian Intervarsity Choral Festival, held in Hobart last year.

ANNE TEMPLE-SMITH
Anne developed a passion for singing while at school and after a number of years absence, Anne has finally realised her dream of combining singing with performing on stage. Les Miserables will be her debut.

HAYLEY TEW - FACTORY WORKER / TURNING
Hayley's theatrical debut was at the age of twelve playing Little Cosette in Les Miserables. Since then, she has been involved in Rosny College productions, extending her character portfolio to its extremes. Earlier this year, she played Maria in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night for PLOT.

GINA TROTT
Gina has been dancing for twelve years, and has been singing for even longer. She currently dances with The House of Dance, but has received training also at Jenina's Dance Workshop. As well as dance, Gina has performed in bands and has recorded two CDs.

PIP TYRELL - OLD WOMAN
Pip resumed a theatrical life after moving to Tasmania seven years ago. She has performed shows for Hobart Rep, Old Nick and the G&S Society, and loves every minute of it. Pip also spends many hours on the committees of Hobart Rep and the G&S Society.

MARGARET WATTS - TURNING
Margaret debuted fifteen years ago when she performed in her school's production of Oliver!. Since then, she has been involved in numerous shows, including Chess, Lovepuke, Me and My Girl, and has played a bridesmaid in Trial By Jury a number of times.

ANNA WHITE
Anna currently dances with Hobart Dance Academy, but has also studied dance at Elizabeth College and Ogilvie High School, participating in the 1999 Rock Eisteddfod. Anna was a member of the Ogilvie Concert Choir, and received tuition in piano. She recently completed work experience in the performing arts.

SALLY WRIGHT - CART CRASH WITNESS
For the past twenty years Sally has been a primary school teacher, and has been responsible for many arts programs in schools. Her experience in music involves organising, preparing and conducting both choral and verse speaking choirs for eisteddfods, musicals, conferences, television and radio shows.
